Above is a shot, of what was being used in 1972 as the regional children’s centre on the grounds of the I.O.D.E. Hospital, which was later Western Hospital, and is today known as the Tayfour Campus of Windsor Regional Hospital. The Building above originally opened as part of the Essex County Sanitorium which relocated to Sandwich from Essex County, near Kingsville in 1922.

Hi Andrew, the Tayfour Campus is now called Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare. It's not Windsor Regional.
Great picture, with the amount that site has changed over the years it is hard to tell where on the site it would have been.
Just a side note, as of October 1st the former I.O.D.E./Western Hospital site on Prince Road is now known as Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, Tayfour campus. (And Windsor Regional now operates the Ouellette site).
Happy Thanksgiving!
My great grandmother had tuberculosis as a young woman and had to be quarantined there for a time probably in the 20s or 30s. Interesting to see the place as she might have seen it. A very handsome building indeed.
The building shown in the picture was facing the back of the property more or less across the parking lot from the Malden Park building now.
