Just when you think you’ve seen it all… Windsor can still surprise you. I’m not sure how long this sign has been here, in the middle of the sidewalk, but I noticed it when I walked past it the other night with my wife.
It’s an idiotic location at the best of times, but even worse in the winter. Whatever engineering genius thought this was a good idea, or an acceptable location for the placement of a sign should be be reassigned a new job.
Apparently, it’s been there for a while…
You can only shake your head.
Hope everyone had a nice holiday season, 2013 here, and we’re back to normal… This year marks the 10th anniversary of International Metropolis. Hard to believe, but I never expected to still be at this a decade later… June 12, 2013 will mark the 10th birthday. How about that… 🙂

Exactly Mona.
John and others. As you can see this was placed there when the sidewalks were re-paved. It should be closer to the side of the road and not in the middle of a sidewalk.
This along with the stupidity of having paving stones as accents only to have asphalt put in place of missing bricks. the otherone is having coloured, stamped concrete with the same asphalt poured over cracks instead of repairing it properly.
I remember (I think it is still there) seeing asphalt put OVER a stump and grate in downtown where a tree once stood. That is quality repair, Windsor style!
I personally think anyone with a wheelchairs would have a hard time going by this sign and the next one down. Some one in the City Engineering didn't think about this too well, but no one is perfect...
I'd just be happy to have a 40km speed limit on my street.
I hope someone called 311.
Anyway-congrats Andrew on 10 years. Well done. Quite a labour of love tahy you have created and maintained!
No engineer would have put that sign there. There should be no reason why it can't be on the strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street. There is a sign further down the street in that area.
