Back on May 1, demolition began on the dilapidated row houses at Erie and Bruce. Then everything ground to a halt, and nothing happened for the next two months. Finally around Canada Day, the job was finished.

I wonder how long this lot will sit vacant? Then I wonder how many phone calls a year the residents will have to place to 311 in order to get said lot mowed?

It's about time!!! My Grandma lived right around the corner on Janette for many years so for years, long before i found this site for info on what was going on i remember saying to myself and my family when driving by "man, that building looks terrible, when are they going to knock that down". It's a long time coming.
i hope it doesn't become another neighborhood dump spot just like Janette and Erie
In 1963 i used to babysit for my aunt & uncle in one of those units right in the middle. It was not a bad place back then. How did it get so bad? Was it built bad to start with?
My grandparents lived in that gray house next door. Those row houses were always nasty looking.
