Anyone out on the east side at all today?
I’m preparing for the annual Year in Review post, and I was just wondering if they’ve started in on it yet…
Will it be the last demo of ’08 or the first one of ’09? 😉
If anyone drives past on their way home, or while doing any of their running around today, please let me know what’s shakin’.

I was by there a few days ago and it was still there with a huge sign out front. Went by too fast to read it I guess!

they have the death fence from the royal around to the whole block to the west. that small yellow building on your map is in the fence too, so looks like they might be taking down that whole block. that's what i saw yesterday, but didn't go by today. the fence was up but didn't see any equipment there.
Went bowling at Playdium last night and it still stood in the state the previous poster said. Yes that old hair salon/liquor store is coming down with it. Since its gonna be a shoppers, I wonder if the one down on Reedmere will be vacated and left for dead like all the rest (eg. Ottawa and Gladstone, Tecumseh and Ellrose, Wyandotte and Rankin).
Can't verify this but a friend told me the 2 houses south of this property are also going to be demolished ???. Store up front parking in the back ???
i drove by this morning and nothing has been done still. a pickup was there though and some of the fencing was open when it went in by the old LCBO.
hi andrew, i drove by again today and the old LCBO is gone and the garage. only the tavern remains now. the rest is a pile of rubble.
Just the front of the Royal left standing as of today
