Crazy props to dETROITfUNK how was in the right place at the right time on Saturday afternoon.
One of this website’s favourite subjects over the years was the Livingston House in Detroit, a.k.a. ol’ Slumpy.
Detroitfunk happened to be in the area, as she bit the dust. Isn’t it funny how historic buildings always happen to get demolished on the weekend?
The Livingston house was a young Albert Kahn’s first job, while he was employed by the firm of Mason and Rice.
RIP Slumpy. 1893-2007

Another loss of Kahn's. What was thepoint of moving it if the U wasn't going to keep it in decent condition?
I think we should have a race between Detroit and Windsor and see who can demolish the most amount of historic properties in a given year.
