One set of the concrete silos along the Detroit Riverfront are coming down, as Detroit’s vision for a waterfront park moves one step closer. Eventually the plan is to have a waterfront park that stretches from Downtown to the Belle Isle Bridge. The area around the Silos is receiving hard core clean-up, as several other old buildings in the arae have also fallen this year.

Theres the view I was looking for ! Cant really see the silos Stateside. Other than from on the straits, that is. Good show AIW.
The new site is looking tight - but I'll miss the old one too.
Thanks dFunk. There were several reasons for the switch. The main one being that this format is more managable. Secondly I liked this comment option... Keeping it interactive, keeps it fun!
Today's shot was just for you. I hit up the waterfront Saturday AM just to get these shots at your suggestion.
Nice shot and nice site redesign - are those the Medusa cement silos?
No EZ, the Medusa Silos are further east. These ones are the set closest to Downtown.
