East Windsor Bathing Beach

A few years ago I acquired a large lot of photos taken in and around Ford City. I have no information on them, such as who took them or when they were taken. They appear to be shot in the mid to late 1950s for the most part. Contained in the lot was a few photos taken at the East Windsor Bathing Beach. Located on the riverfront at the foot of George Avenue, the buildings shown here burned in a fire in 1957, and the beach was closed in 1959. Today it is Alexander Park. These are an interesting view into another piece of Windsor’s lost history.
