Back to School

In recognition of it being back to school time, here’s one of those rare old Windsor Postcards where the view is still the same today…

This shot of Assumption College (today’s Dillion Hall) dates to c. 1964. Designed by local architect Albert Lothian, it’s a classic example of the educational Gothic style of architecture popular in the late 1920’s for educational buildings (see also Kennedy, Walkerville & Lowe).
