Assumption High School – c. 1965

An old postcard view of the new Assumption High School, as noted on the back of the card “directed by the BASILIAN FATHERS”

My favourite part of the card is the fact that Huron Church road looks like a rinky dink little 4 lane roads with a grassy median in the middle.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

  • This was posted before because I saved a photo of this same picture.cool to see how different things were back then.

  • In most places, Huron Church Road WAS a rinky dink little 4 lane road with a grassy median in the middle, well into the mid 1980s. Until the major reconstruction that took place in the 1980s, much of it didn't have a median at all.
