An interesting look back at the proposed development of Marlborough Park. Planned to fill the space south of old Sandwich Town, and to act as a residential bridge to the anticipated boom coming in Ojibway. It’s neat to note that what is Felix today, was planned as an extension of Wyandotte Street.
The bottom rendering by Nichols, Sheppard and Masson, shows the proposed Sandwich Public School at Marlborough. Image below shows the school as built.

A very nice looking school. Interesting to see the park area.
When I look at google maps it look like Marlborough Ave was laid out as a that curved connecting road of Huron Line to the intersection of Wyandotte ( Felix) and Tecumseh Rd. Did Marlborough Street ever actually connect to Huron Line?
Wow, look at all the smokestacks in that drawing belching smoke in Detroit. Could you imagine a drawing today including such a thing? It's almost like they thought all that dirty industry was good back then.
