Who knew the building above was the first major commercial project in Windsor after the great depression? I’ve always liked this one, it’s got a good street presence.

This corner seems to have a rough time keeping a tenant these days. Howard Diner was a nice place but floundered quickly.
Interesting post depression development.
It's only a matter of time before someone gets the bright idea to slap some stucco on this old girl.
Fascinating!
This lacation seems to be cursed. So many restaurants have been in this location and and have not lasted; some good, some not so good. My mom tells me that there was a pharmacy at this location in the 50's. Anyone know the name of the pharmacy/owner? My parents once considered buying the building as an investment.
Erie&Parent used to be Lansbery Drug Store.
I think it was once Gregson's Pharmacy.
I think it was originally a pharmacy called Gubb's and then became Gregson's
I live just down the street near Ottawa & Parent.. I think this is a nice building.. but the problem (like any of the other restaurants) is parking.. I mean right now I suppose it would be fine to park across the street since that old gas station/car mechanic place (i cant remember what it used to be now) is no long operating.. But that stupid round-about.. **shake my head** WHHHHYYYY!?!?!?!
Lanspeary's Drug Store was on that corner, one of 14 around the city at the time.....they were owned by the late Clarence Lanspeary and managed by his daughter, Marion Lanspeary Stedman......the last of the drug store chain was sold in the late 60's
