In keeping with Monday’s theme, here’s another old border crossing post card, today’s view shows the tunnel. This one is unused, as was Monday’s. Someone may be able to get a better date, given the car and bus in the photos. The Maple Leaf flag on the wall means the photo is no older than 1965, when the flag was officially adopted.

They are planning a huge expansion on the Windsor side of the tunnel in the next couple years. The preliminary plan shows them closing off Goyeau from Wyandotte to Park to keep the lineups off of Wyandotte.

does anyone recall if, anytime in the last 10 or 15 yrs, the tunnel bus was ever run by city of detroit, however briefly?
As far as I remember when the tunnel went out of the bus buisness SW&A or Transit Windsor took over, same company just a name change owned by City od Windsor. Back in the early 1900 the DSR(Detroit Street Raailway) owned the SW&A.
