Tomorrow is November 11th.

Take a moment tomorrow to remember those that came before you,

and who fought and died in battles for you,

Grandparents, Great Grandparents, relatives, and those still in active duty today.

While many were lucky enough to have relatives come back alive,

Despite being in dangerous conditions…

Never forget those who didn’t.

Laying in mass graveyards on foreign soil.

So remember tomorrow at 11:00 am to take a moment and reflect back…

And thank a vet.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.

  • Awesome, thank you Andrew.

I am shocked at the boy...litteral BOY, 3rd pic, 2nd row, forth man in from the left. His hat is almost too big for him.
I unfortunatly had to remind someone today why you don't just take the poppy from the counter, you make a donation. I told her the donations go towards helping Vets and she says "arn't they all dead now?"
    *Sheesh*

  • Lest We Forget those who went before us.

Aaron, it also goes to many Legions where charity for children is foremost. I hope the wearing of the poppy NEVER goes away.
