  • Hardly surprising. After all the Spits have almost a whole year of history out on Lauzon ;)

  • It is starting at the 'ol Barn, winding its way down McDougall to Riverside Drive and up Lauzon to the new arena. So much forthe impact a parade might have on downtown businesses. At least it could have gone down Goyeau St. or Pelissier St.

  • LMAO! Go figure on the stupidity of this region. Gee, having it downtown might, just might make some sense. But I am sure the owners knowing the town they live in (Tecumseh) wouldn't want to upset theri fellow residents. After all, why would anyone want to go into the core of Windsor. Bizzaro world strikes again!

The City of Windsor is honouring the Windsor Spitfires for their Memorial Cup win in a permanent way. Council has decided that the western entrance to the W.F.C.U. Centre will be renamed Memorial Cup Drive. The eastern entrance is already named as Mickey Renaud Way. There will be a parade and celebration tonight. The parade begins at six and leaves from the foot of Lauzon at Riverside Drive. The parade will move up Lauzon and end at the WFCU Center for a rally, which AM 800 will carry live beginning at 7:05pm.
