Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

While driving around the other day collecting Fire Hydrant photos, I stumbled across this large vacant expanse at Lincoln & Cataraqui. Something didn’t look right about it…

I knew that I had a photo of the old gas station next door, and pulled it out and noticed the houses right beside it.

A glance at Google Earth reveals that three houses vanished. Anyone know when they came down? Anyone know what’s planned for the lot?

Sometimes it seems you turn your back for a minute, and something else is torn down…

  • One more quick comment...when driving by the corner where Baker Bros. once stood...there is a large very ugly Ice Cream Cone place....it was sad to remember how lovely Riverside once was....
