While driving around the other day collecting Fire Hydrant photos, I stumbled across this large vacant expanse at Lincoln & Cataraqui. Something didn’t look right about it…
I knew that I had a photo of the old gas station next door, and pulled it out and noticed the houses right beside it.
A glance at Google Earth reveals that three houses vanished. Anyone know when they came down? Anyone know what’s planned for the lot?

One more quick comment...when driving by the corner where Baker Bros. once stood...there is a large very ugly Ice Cream Cone place....it was sad to remember how lovely Riverside once was....

Now the old gas station is gone, and it's still just a grassy lot. Just makes you wonder, why?
It seem more likely that the church next door is expanding or gaining parking
