Back in March, I had post on Park Place near the University.
The house at 190 Park Place, was, as you may remember, featured in the Border Cities Star in 1924. It was the home of Joseph Loikrec, who owned a dry goods store at Wyandotte and Mercer (located today under Fred Thomas Park). Along with Joseph, Harry, Hyman and Olaf, all students are listed at the residence.
After that post, I had an email from a relative of Joseph Loikrec, who is located in Florida. I promised to go by and get some current photos of the house for him.
The most surprising thing to me is that the trellis is still up on the chimney of the house next door, after 85 years!

Regarding the neighboring house with the trellis, its amazing how good a house can look after 80 years when it is well maintained. Even the feature house looks good.. Kudos to the owners present and past. Other property owners please take note.
The house looks great - even the dish set at a jaunty angle doesn't detract from its good looks.
I have been in this house as my father grew up there as well. Beautiful home as I remeber back in the early 80's
