Here’s a pair of old postcards, I’ve been meaning to post for a while.

This one is looking south on Chilver from Niagara. That’s the Willistead Park fence on the left. This one is from John Stefani’s personal collection.

This one is the DUR station in Tecumseh. It is from the Bernie Drouillard Collection, I’m not sure where this was. Was/is this the station that is now at Heritage Village?

Have a great weekend everyone, see you Monday.

  • Yup, I think Sammy Hain is right. It looks like the white house just northwest of the station is still there. It`s been expanded heavily since then.

  • The house at the top right just north of the tracks is still there I believe. If I am correct, the building was renovated and moved a block north and was Blackies convenience at one point and is now a Wine shop. The building was also merged with an American Foursquare house at some point, and has some interesting Tudor elements to it. Another very interesting point, I did some further investigation of the immediate area and found that the little brown shed to the left of the picture, just north of the tracks is still there. It is now being used as part of the Bosco Stone Manufacturing building if I am correct. Not only that, but just south of the tracks, the white building is standing as well, though in terrible condition. It is hidden behind the building currently fronting Tecumseh Road just to the West of Macs and is being used by Gerrys Taxi.
