White Rose Station – Howard & Tecumseh – 1953

Below is a full page ad that ran in the Windsor Star in early December 1953. It advertised the impending grand opening of the new White Rose Service Station at Howard and Tecumseh.

I’m not sure what corner the station was on. It probably wasn’t on the north east side as the area now occupied by the Shoppers was formerly a Windsor Utilities Building. If I had to guess, I’d pick the north west, where the Tim Horton’s in located today. The Tim Horton’s at Ottawa and Kildare in Walkerville replaced a service station.

Below is a detail shot of the service station.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
