The Chry Moto club on McDougall, across from Windsor Stadium is so named for the Chrysler Motors factory that once stood a few blocks north at McDougall and Tecumseh Road. I once heard a story, I don’t remember where or from who, but they told me that this building is actually the old clubhouse from the old Windsor Jockey Club (Horse Track) that once stood where Kennedy and Jackson Park are today.
I’ve never seen any proof of this fact, and I’m not sure if it was moved, or if it was always there.
It’s interesting and would be neat to prove. Add it to the list of interesting Windsor stories…

The one and only time I went to the Chry Moto was after my KCI grad ceremony in 1991. It was a dump but the beer was cheap and it was good to run into old friends (unlike other schools our graduation was in the fall not in June).
