Late Update

So I see that it’s been a little over 12 months since the last post here. With time life gets busy, and projects change. I started this project back at the turn of the millennium as old-detroit.com which was a collection of old postcards and some scenes of Windsor and Detroit with historical information.

The website evolved to Internationalmetropolis.com which became the go to local resource for architectural history in Windsor and the surrounding area. It led to an eventual book Windsor then and now which was published by Biblioasis a few years ago.

As the years have gone on, websites have become less popular and to be honest a lot of work to maintain and keep up on. I basically put out this site for a quarter of a century spending quite a bit out of pocket over the years to keep it going. At the end of the day it’s always been about getting out information that can’t be found anywhere else.

The website portion is going to kind of stay how it it for now as a resource, but I do plan to get back to posting. I’m going move the posting over to Instagram to the Buildings of Windsor account. Feel free to add it and follow over there https://www.instagram.com/buildingsofwindsor with posts over there being seamlessly posted to the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lostwindsor the reach on a personal website isn’t what it once was, with these two having far more interactions with people.

So for now everything will stay as it is here, with all the data preserved, at least until the next server renewal.

Please follow over at Instagram or Facebook for the newest posts and updates.

Thanks for a great 25 year run over here!
