Just when I think that I’ve seen every possible crime against architecture that stucco can be guilty of, well I stumble across this mess on Tecumseh Rd. and Pillette.
WTF? Who is the assclown that thought that this is an improvement over anything? This is the kind of mess that someone should go to jail over. U G L Y.
Great job too stuccoing the beautiful old brick building on the corner too… Unbelievable what passes for taste in this city sometimes…. If I was mayor, I’d pass a by-law banning the use of E.IF.S. in the city.

As a side note, the BOM’s fate will be decided tonight at City Council at 6:00 pm. If you haven’t registered as a delegate, it’s likely too late, but please come down anyways and help fill the council chamber. The more people in attendance in support of preservation, the better.

James, my eyes can only take so much at once... Plus I don't want to damage my camera by pointing it at too much garbage at once...
And they're tearing down that BofM building. Welcome to Windsor!
Chris, you have to lose a few battles on the way to winning the war. ;)
Both you and Andrew presented splendidly before council tonight and I think some potential long-term good was accomplished in spite of the impending loss of this particular building.
I know you're right, John. It hurts nonetheless when architectural vomit like these mostrosities that Andrew is preoccupied with flourish while the good ones fall.
I think Andrew is a closet stucco-fan, myself!
That's the building of L&R Distributions, or at least it was 7 years ago when I lived on that block. I used to pay my rent at their office in there. They own much of that side of the block, including the stucco one on the corner that you mentioned in the post. I'm not sure what they distributed, the only thing they ever tried to sell me was long burning candles. From what I remember of them, I'm actually surprised it doesn't look worse!
Speaking of that stucco mess at Pilette & Tecumseh, I just noticed the place is now up for sale for $189K obo. Restaurant went under and now the ass clown who made the mess wants to move out of town, What is with out-of-towners coming here, making a mess and not sticking around?? http://www.icx.ca/PropertyDetails.aspx?vd=&SearchURL=%3fPage%3d3%26Mode%3d0%26vs%3dOffice%26ret%3d304%26ptgid%3d2%26ci%3dwindsor%26pro%3d2%26mp%3d0-0-%26mrt%3d0-0-0%26trt%3d2%26rpmu%3d-1%26ld%3d0%26o%3dA%26of%3d1%26ps%3d10%26uts%3d0-0%26fpud%3d1&Mode=0&PropertyID=7042664
