As everyone is aware, Windsor has probably one of the best independent restaurant markets in Ontario. While on my bike ride out to Lakeview Marina for the now infamously cancelled Peche Island day, I rode past the Bon Friand Vietnamese restaurant and made a note to go back and check it out.
While in a bit of a strange location for an Asian restaurant (Wyandotte St. E., just west of Jefferson), I figured it was worth a visit.
The food was great, and pricing was on par with many of those restaurants in the west end. If you like Asian food, and you’re looking for somewhere new to try, you couldn’t do much better than the Bon Friand.
Check it out and make sure you support your local restaurants.
I live in this area and don’t ever remember seing this place. I think it used to be the East Court chinese restaurant, who had excellent food.
“infamously cancelled Peche Island day” Huh?
We had quite the “discussion” about that in the commetns of last Friday’s post… See Chris. Miss a day, miss a lot. 🙂
Jamie, it’s fairly new in the last few months. Yes, it’s in the former East Court space.
Sure, deflate my “Let’s-Get-Andrew-And-ME-Wound-Up-Again” attempt. You’re absolutely no fun 😉
I am wound up now because your damn ActiveX has just screwed my computer. BEWARE FOLKS do not DOWNLOAD ActiveX as you will encounter Malware like you have never seen. You will not be able to browse any longer and anti-virus systems are having a helluva time finding it on my computer.
Huh? I don’t run any active X content on my site ME… You must have picked that up somewhere else…
I hate it when my computer catches an STD…
I hear W32/Stucco-A is pretty nasty. 😉
This has been an asian restaurant at least 20 years.. used to be called East Court. They had this really funny plastic television inside that just had a static image of niagara falls or something on it.
The sign perpendicular to the street is still up, but the other one now says “Canasa Printing” and it looks closed up as well.
