It’s that time of year again, the 30th Annual Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Marathon. 26.2 Miles long, and passing though 2 countres, the Marathon comes over the bridge and back through the tunnel. If you’ve never gone down to see it, do it next year, it’s an intersting event to see.

That’s it for this year. Congratualtions to all the runners who competed and finished. Especially the local ones who I was fortunate enough to catch. If any of these shots are you, please send me an email.
I like the picture of the no litter sign with all of the garbage strewn about.
ME> I actually walked up to our shooting position from the Wyandotte street bus stop and couldn’t help commenting to Andrew that with all those cups all over the ground, Riverside drive finally looked as messy as Ouellette does with all the post-Saturday night bar crowd litter (which is atrocious). To the credit of the marathon organizers however, volunteers had started cleaning up the cups almost right away.
I’ve been a visitor to your site for a while now, when i lived in Toronto it was nice to see some interesting shots of home. I’ve wanted to comment a few times, but never got the courage. I HAD to tell you about this one though. My cousin’s significant other ran in the marathon, and had it planned that as he crossed the finish line, he proposed! It was very sweet and we all celebrated his completion of the marathon as well as their engagement yesterday afternoon. Now we’re just waiting for a save the date card. Anyways, keep up the great work, there are lots of us silent visitors to your website!
Thanks Erin, what a great story.
I know there are many more readers out there who are silent, and that’s ok. Its all the regular visitors who come by and check out the site that keeps it going, weather you comment or not!
Now that you’ve broken the ice, I hope you won’t hesitate to comment next time you feel the urge… 🙂
I e-mailed you yesterday about purchasing a photo of my daughter “Leah”.
I think I gave you an incorrect e-mail address. Please use the above address.
Thank-You
Tom
