Photo Du Jour – December 21, 2005 – Ransom Gillis House

The remains of the Ransom Gillis House at 205 Alfred St. in Brush Park are being stabilized to facilitate future renovation.

Contrast the photo above, taken last weekend, with the one below, taken in August.

Here’s hoping that this symbol of Detroit’s decay gets restored.

The tile & stone work on the turret base are too outstanding, to send to the landfil.
