Rich, it is a neighborhood just north of Downtown. It is undergoing gentrification after years of neglect. It is seeing some rehab, and lots of new construction.
It is so nice to see these homes being cared for! We have been watching them for a few years now just wishing that someone would do something other than tear them down. Finally someone has! We would travel downtown every so often just to see “if my houses were still there”. For a while it appeared that they would be gone the next time I checked in on them. This past weekend I was so excited to see someone putting life into these beautiful structures!
yes something is happening to it. It is good that they are fixing the place up, but what about what it really looked like? they aren’t doing that at all. they just say, ” lets just modernize it.” thats not what you call renovating. its preserving the peice of history that once was there. at least it won’t be falling down now.
I have been interested in the Ransom gillis house for 4 years maybe not a l;ong time but I have been looking at the redevelopement of the house. Iam a published author my novel is called one Russian Winter that is what I do write. In short would lik eto make enough money off of my writings and other busienss I have to possibly purchase the Ransom Gillis house. I enjoyed the vidoes with that lady giving the description of the house but I did not and could not see the interior. Anyway would lioke to see the entrior of th ehouse I do have a private library would enjoy soemhow having the hopsue open my library. Rigth now I reside in Omaha Ne i do not like Omaha Ne there is not much here as far as making a great nmae for an indivdual like me. well like ot see the interior of the Ransom Gillis house or if not that the old Ginsburg house that I beleive is inthe same vacinity. any way those are just soem of my interests would lik eot persue this one in particualur.
