A view of what was then the brand new St Bernard’s School in Est Windsor. This building designed by Albert Lothian still stands, although it is scheduled for demolition and replacement.
Have a great long weekend everyone, see you back here Wednesday. No post Monday due to the holiday.
What else is new? Brutal that yet another nice building is going to get demo’ed.
Attended St Bernard 1961 to 1962 (gr 07 & 08). Can remember the smell of the heating system…probably coal…climbing the stairs to the second floor…girls lined up on one side & boys to the other…keeping time to marching tunes (Sousa) blaring on the PA system..using cheapie smudging ball point pens for the first time… volunteering for the choir to sing @ funeral masses @ the old Most precious Blood church as a way to get out of classroom time … wow …who knew.
Love learning about the architectural history of the school I attended so long ago !!!
