A great old photograph of the Walkerville General Hospital shortly after opening. Better known as Metropolitan General Hospital, that building is still there hiding behind the many additions over the years.
On a side note, you may experience some delay in comments being posted to the site. As IM has grown, it’s also become filled with a decade worth of posts and comments. There are almost 1700 posts and over 17,000 comments here… As a result the server works extra hard to constantly pull that information. In the interest of having the site run quicker and hopefully eliminate some of the database connection errors that have occurred lately, the pages will basically update at set intervals, so comments may only appear when the page is next updated, as opposed to instantly now. If you experience any weirdness, as always, let me know and I’ll work on getting it fixed.
