Hotel Dieu

Another Friday, and once again, another old photo. Today’s picture doesn’t have a date on the back, only a handwritten note reading “Hotel Dieu defrauded hospital”, the only other mark is a stamp that reads “Detroit Times Reference Dept.”

Judging from the car parked out front of the hospital, I would place a date of the mid 1920’s. Although the car experts out there, could probably nail it down to a specific model year. Check out that cast iron staircase…

A nice detail shot of the tower, with the date of 1888.
