Lafayette Tool & Die

This century old building at 261 St. Aubin sports a sign for Lafayette Tool and Die, since 1934. Lafayette is no longer in the building, I’m not sure if they met the same fate as the Detroit Elevator Co., chased out of Rivertown when the Casino’s were earmarked to occupy the land. Today the building is occupied by the Micro Tool Die & Mold Co.

The building first appears on the Fire Insurance Maps from 1897, prior to that the property was occupied by a house.
