911 Prado

While out a few weeks ago with readers John and Mike, I spied this 1920’s era beauty on Prado south of Wyandotte.

[EDIT – I’ve just recieved confimation that the home was built in 1930]

I am a sucker for clinker bricks.

While impossible to verify, due to the excellent historical record keeping of the City of Riverside, it really does look to me like one of the works of architect Albert J. Lothian. While not the only local architect who worked with clinker bricks, he was one of the few who did comissions for the average man, and this is in the area of town he lived and worked in.
