Thanks, that was really cool to see. The evils of stucco and the loss of history. This is a great addition to the body of your work.
Alot of people think they look better newer but there are ruining the look of the original look! Well for an example my house is 100 yrs old… it is still the same old way it was today as it was before….I will be restoring 100 percent of how it looks today! You are welcome to come take a picture of my house before and after when i restore it… you will be happy to see a person like myself who respects historical homes! Stucco sucks! My husband hates it to! Good to see people like yourself out there….who respects older buildings and homes…and they should never change the way they look…. if they dont like it they shouldnt buy them! instead of ruining them!

amazing presentations thanks for sharing… i really wanted to come to this event but but had to work out of town at the last minute. i really enjoy your blog. it’s one of the fist things i view every day when i get up…it seems to really hit home… from your presentation i found a lot of places that i have come in contact with… i used to rent above posteroptics for two years and i rented a co-op artist space that was replaced by 29 park. i would love to send you some photos of these spaces and other spaces that you have featured in your blog… i have some great inside shots of the school you featured last week… drop me and e-mail and i do my best to share them with you…. keep up the wonderful work of educating us all about what is going in windsor… i appreciate it..

Great presentation Andrew. I admire your gumption to do it and passion for the subject at had. In my view, this recent wave of horrible facade renovation reflects the depressed state of the local construction industry. Rock bottem pricing prevails. Forget about any modicum of critical design analysis and the city bylaws make no requirement for it. This stuff is literally sketched up on a napkin and built out of the back of a pick-up truck. Some of the strange shapes and colours we see may denote the divergent ethnic tastes of the parties involved.
Speaking of rhat stucco’d and painted streamline building on McDougall you spoke of in the video, I drove by it today and they had some major cracks and chunks falling off it. It has to be completely redone. Stucco is the greatest building material on earth. How long did that stucco job last? Two years?
