Photo from the Chris Edwards collection
A nice rendering here above from the engineering firm dated 1950, showing the view of the powerhouse following the expansion of the building. I love old renderings, architects and engineers used to have talented artistic employees working for them.
Thanks to Chris Edwards of Walkerville Publishing, for the image above.
Have a great long weekend everyone.Due to the holiday, there will be no post Monday.
See you back here next Wednesday.
My Word, what a Most Wonderful drawing! I Most Enjoy how the two smoke stacks on the left Thrust ever higher into the Heavens Above, while the two shorter chimneys provide Comic Relief in comparison to the Extended Height of the two Tall and Erect left smoke stacks. Together they provide Complement and Balance, which is of course the Nature of the Architect!
Why can’t I post comments?
