2557 Howard Avenue

I’ve long liked this building on Howard just north of Eugenie. Over the years, it been home to numerous car lots, etc. But I’ve always had a soft spot for it as a good example of Mid-Century architecture.

I recently came across the ad above, showing it was originally home to Merrifield’s Custom Body Shop. Not sure who the architect was on this project. Other than the front doors going from a double to a single, it’s nearly identical to the 1964 picture.
