In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.

Beautiful photos Andrew. Too many people don’t show their appreciation around this time of year. It’s only about 2 weeks that we are asked to remember those who have fallen and people have a hard time doing that. Awesome post.
Walter Allward also designed the Cenotaph in Goderich as well. If you’re ever in the area check it out, it’s located at the courthouse square.
Wonderful tribute Andrew. One of the best I have seen in a long time.
That was very well done.
Fantastic photos Andrew. Your Mom is very proud of you.
Andrew
Your pictures capture the spirit of mankind remembering.
Lest we forget
Thankyou.

Well done Andrew. My father WWII, and grandfather, gassed at the Somme in the Great War would have been as proud of you as I am.
Dad
From a very proud Uncle. Please know that although we are a distance apart, I always speak highly of you and your work. This recent photgraphic essay for Rememberance Day only solidfies everything I say of you! Well done!
Greetings Andrew,
Your tribute is very significant and much appreciated.
I wish that my grandfather was still living, in that he would have been very interested in and thankful for your efforts.
My grandfather was a soldier in the Dutch army during WWII. He was in hiding for most of the war and was a member of the resistance.
I remember the tears welling in his eyes as he informed me as to what he had experienced during that time.
Keep up the great work.
Sincerely,
David Comiskey
My father was at Vimy. I look at the pictures of the crosses and think, Dad could be laying there, except for the grace of God, he was spared and here I am. Why?
Awsome pictures great work!!
