Photo Du Jour – November 4, 2005 – Club Lofts Condos

On Wyandotte St. in Walkerville, you will find one of the most ambitious adaptive reuse projects in Windsor.

The building is a former whiskey warehouse for Hiram Walker, it was built in 1950 by Smith, Hinchman & Grylls and is basically a brick box, with massive two story floors.

There are still some vacant warehouses in the same area, this is how this building looked prior to the conversion.

The $15 million CDN project is proceding without a single pre-sale. When complete there will be 69 two story lofts in the building.

The building was stripped down to the concrete floors and supporting columns.

You can see in the photo above a roughed in two floor unit. The building will feature a rooftop garden, and there are 4 different floor plans between 1,800 to 2,600 sq. ft.

This is truly a unique devolpment in Windsor, and will hopefully be a sucess.
