Back in mid June, we featured this block on the corner of Erie and Goyeau. Work has been progressing and the answer to what’s planned is on the sign on the second floor windows.

Fantastic!! I saw them working inside before the plywood went up. I’m happy to see the reuse of this building instead of demolition. Now lets hope it doesn’t get the stucco treatment!
Stucco anyone???
So are they not tearing it down? Are they renovating the existing building? New building, or renovation, you an bet it’ll be slathered in stucco 🙁
I’ll bet “Brick” … So 2 stucco’s … 1 brick…
I would vote for faux stone of some sort.
stucco
I love how they’re bringing a medical center that is badly needed in the area as well as another local business and people on this site STILL complain.
Cheap plastic is my guess
Since it’s going to be a pharmacy & medical center, I’ll second some sort of faux stone or stone veneer tile. If it were any other business, I’d say stucco.
No ones complaining Bubbs. It’s great that a new business is going there. What we complain about is the asinine materials used to cover existing architectural elements or people who change the look of a building to suit suburbian means instead of an urban look.
Spoke too soon. I see the styrofoam up. Looks like the sh-t stucco bandits strike again.
Well its done… another stucco job. ugh.
