2094 Willistead Cres

From the Border Cities Star – December 6, 1924, almost a century ago to the day.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. King, Devonshire road, Walkerville, is one of the newest and most attractive in the Border Cities. Following the designs of the latest style in home budling, the house possesses all that goes towards making a comfortable residence. On the first first floor there are seven room, with five on the second floor and three on the third floor. The fist floor is trimmed in walnut, and the upstairs are trimmed with white enamel. Bathrooms are located on the two upper floors. In the front end of the house is the library, with built in bookcases and fireplace. The hall is lighted with cathedral Gothic glass. There is access from the living room downstairs to the terrace, through French windows. The kitchen equipment includes butler’s pantry, kitchen and other necessities.

It seems like this one actually fronts Devonshire along the side of the house, despite the Willistead Crescent address. Despite a fence and an addition over the door, the form of the house remains largely unchanged a century on.
