Which corner do you think this was on (ie NE, SW, etc...)
The Carnegie was on the SE corner of Park and Victoria. It would be interesting to know (and see) where the original library was situated on Ferry...
While doing some research in the new library on a visit to Windsor, came across the original cornerstone from the old Carnegie displayed on an inside wall. Got my first library card in 1957. Creaky wooden floors...think there was a double wood screen door mounted inside rather than outside the front doors...fans blowing warm musty air around in the summers...great baseball history section. What a wonderful place for a youngster to fall in love with books and reading!
Hope that bike out front isn't stolen!
