Happy Friday once again! Another week in the book. Today’s photo is dated May 24, 1927.
The caption on the back reads:
A nice view of what is today Forster Secondary on Felix on Windsor’s west side. Back when the school was still newish, and long before the additions came along.

the school looks brand new and the photo of lincoln and wyandotte looks very neat and clean (no graffti!!)
i noticed the loblaws grocery store next to the bank, an old old girlfriend of mine worked there when it was called the fairway market about 30years ago
it would be nice if there was still a grocery store in walkerville... not easy getting groceries now, not unless you want to drive halfway across town.
Market Square has some decent grocery options.
Great picture of the school. It still looks good in spite of all the funny additions. A testament to the way these fine old schools were built. I hope it's not slated for the demolition block!
General Brock, along with the rest of the west side schools are currently under an accomodation review called a "PARK". My guess is that they will shut down Forster, Century (Hands) and Marlborough, and then build a mega school on the Marlborough site. I believe Matty Moron has his eyes set on the Forster site, and may already own the football field.
Not yet Peter. GECDSB (Ontario taxpayer still owns it.)
somebody should do an article on prince edward school across the street from low on giles. This whole site has no info on it :(
gary...i worked at fairway from 77-79...who was your girlfriend?
