From the Windsor Star Classifieds in October, 1971.
Here’s the “Mansion” today. It’s a fact that our real estate hasn’t increased in value over the years, in fact Windsor has some of the most affordable property in the country. This house was listed for $26,900 in 1971. That amount is equal to $151,690 in 2010 dollars.
Interesting to note that despite 39 years having passed since the ad was placed, the house looks almost identical.

As a side note, you may be experiencing intermittent server outages over the next few days. If that occurs, don’t worry. The webhost that holds IM.com, our good friends over at @Detroit are moving this and several other of their sites over to a new server shortly. So if you make your way over here and find a page cannot be displayed error, don’t worry. Most of the time these transitions are painless, but I always try to prepare for the unexpected. 🙂

Something tells me that this house wouldn't sell for $151,690 2010 dollars....this property has actually lost value over the last 39 years.
There is an identical house in the 1000 block of Villaire which is almost identical. Even the brick colour and window styles are the same
Ugly house, fits in with the house with the Christmas lights still strung from the gutters (Google took the Streetview last summer) across the street.
wow, i used to live in the little white house beside it.
never realized i was next door to a mansion
At least it's not a McMansion.
