For the second straight year, a great event for Windsor, I can’t remember the last time I saw downtown as packed as it was Saturday and Sunday.
Overall a great event for the city, putting us on a world class stage with world class racing. Love it or hate it, the Red Bull Air Race probably brought more money into downtown business coffers than all other festivals combined. Luckily CUPE stayed away and the event was a great success. Great job to all involved.

You should post pictures of the REAL star of the weekend…the jam-pack streets with people enjoying their downtown! The vibe of the weekend was wonderful and I can’t wait until we get that again!
What a great weekend overall. So many things to do and wonderful entertainment options. If only downtown Windsor could be this busy more than once a year.
Walkerville was jammed Sunday with cars and people walking to the waterfront; and our quiet diner was packed and had line-ups for tables as people stopped for breakfast/lunch before the 1pm race on Sunday. Saw the pit crew for one team in Walkerville doing some shopping/errands. Not just downtown benefited and I wish people realized this!
I was skeptical of the whole thing, after watching the fencing, the grass cutting, the garbage issues, etc…
But Windsorites showed the world what kind of real troopers we are and put on a weekend of spectacular entertainment that could appeal to everyone. I spent both days of Red Bull at the railing in Dieppe with my eyes to the sky and the wind in my face. And when it was done I was already making plans to attend next year. My thanks to all involved.
The CUPE people left some bear traps in the weeds. I herd that a child lost his leg.
