Shameless plug time….
Tonight at Tango – 4661 Wyandotte St. East, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm –
Tango is a cool shop, along with its sister shop Magpie Antiques a few doors down towards Pilette. So come on by and browse the shop.
While you’re there, I’m going to be in shop with a small little set up (along with a couple of other local artisans), I’ll be selling copies of my book Windsor Modern, along with some photo prints, including ones that were exhibited at the Art Gallery of Windsor.
So come on out, drop in and say hello, and maybe take a little piece of International Metropolis home with you…
Hope to see you tonight.
Support your local artists and artisans.
So, what’s it take to become known as a “Noted Blogger” anyways?
If only you knew… I think it has to do with all the awards I win, unlike the big pile of nothing Scaledown is known for…. 🙂
Nancy and Dianne will be painting at Nancy Johns tonight for Thursdays Live too. 7-10pm
Does anyone know anything about Jitters and their hours? What a great night out to park near the bank, walk to the shops and galleries and then finish off with a coffee. There’s always McDonald’s I guess…
What is this, a furniture store or a dance hall? It seems like a furniture store with the Interior designer and two local artisans, but why is it called Tango’s with two people ballroom dancing, “live Thursday”‘s reference and “beat”ing the blues? Will there be live music tonight? Who’s playing?
Vicky – Good question. Hopefully they are cashing in on the late opening hours…
David, Tango is just a name, no dancing is involved 😉
Oh dear. Sorry for any confusion. Tango is most definitely NOT a dance hall, but a great antique-to-comtemporary store for the home. The owner picked the name Tango in reference to ‘it takes two to tango’ – which for her describes the business relationship between the owner and her daughter-in-law who runs Tango. It’s also a reference to the Tango glass that she’s been collecting for about 30 years. ‘Live’ refers to the artisans and artists who will be on site [in person] at the various galleries along the street. The reference to ‘Let’s beat those winter Blues’ refers to the fact that it’s been a long, cold, snowy winter – nothing more. Does that help? It’s probably best to come out and see what’s going on. Then you’ll be in the know.
