The Panama Registered Bright Laker, anchored in the Detroit River.

The front end looks a little beat up. Someone scraped up the paint! 😉

Launched in 2001, the Bright Laker’s maiden voyage was to haul steel products from Japan to Cleveland. Despite being an ocean going bulk carrier, the Bright Laker is a regular visitor to the Great Lakes.

  • Hi Andrew, I sent you an e-mail not sure if you received it or not. Can you set up a blog on this site it would make it easier to reach you ? (You can delete this post if you like it's not related to this topic)

  • She looks a little beat up. Granted she's light (not under load) and that may account for the beat up look, but is that a hole in the hull from deck level to the loaded waterline?
