As part of the draconian non-smoking laws introduced in Ontario earlier this year, a silly side effect was the banning of any tobacco related words in any advertising.
That means that downtown stores that advertise “Cuban Cigars” are liable to be fined.
Some store owers over reacted and took a fit…
Others simply scrached out “Cigars” from their signs….

How stupid.
If it is legal to sell the product, how harmful can it be to use the word tobacco.
What I'd like to know is how long it will take before they outlaw Cuban Coffee signs as well. ;)
Actually, I know a few people who got cancer from just looking at a pack of cigarettes.
The Facade is still there. It's just painted over in all brown. Havana Heaven is closed, though.
