A little while back while in Fabulous Ferndale for work related purposes, I stumbled across this relic from the past. Luxury Lanes and Lounge on 9 Mile, is a great old 50’s – 60’s era bowling alley, complete with original sign.

Thanks for the great sign. Americana at its best.
I have had Bell problems too, especially after rain.
Thanks, Andrew. You really make me feel old. Luxury Lanes has been at 9 Mile and the GTW tracks since I was in junior high, and was the place to go bowling after Ferndale Lanes closed and the little 8 lane house on Vester was torn down. No cocktails, no pizza when it opened. Vending machines. As a house, I really didn't like it for some reason. My memory says it didn't really have any atmosphere like older bowling establishments (Yorba Linda Lanes suffered from the same problem). Thanks for the trip down memory lane.....
