This beautiful structure is located at the corner of Jefferson & Manistique on the far east side. City records show the building was built in 1923.
According to the Sandborn Map, the building was constructed with ground floor retail with an auditorium on the second floor, and a gymnasium on the 3rd floor.
Anyone have any memories of the place?

My mother ran a co-op nursery school at St Columba in the mid - late 70s. Kids good occasionally get to run around in the gym. Also worth a look on the lower east side is the old St Martin Parish on Lennox and Averhill, built I want to say in 1923. The painted (stained) glass windows are of note.
thanks for your pics, alwysa enjoyable
