.......I really like your "Then and Now" pictures. It's been a long time since I've been back to Detroit, and I appreciate the "Now"s of places I knew "Then". In that vein, there was a recent discussion about Plum Street on SD. I remember the then. You got a now somewhere?
Quite so, these two shots hilight really well the rate of clearing by the river. I don't know if you're active at all on Flickr but a few of us are putting together what could only be a pale imitation of the stuff you have here, but it's a place where we can all contribute shots of Vanished Detroit:

Douglas, Plum street is no more than a service road between parking lots. I think the new MGM Casino is being built on top of the old Plum street as we speak.
