Today’s PDJ is the front door of the Book Tower. The Cartouche over the doorway was done by none other than the incomparable Corrado Parducci.

Very nice. I miss how I used to spend to much time downtown in detroit during the 70s with my parents, like shopping at Hudsons. I keep wanting to go over there to photograph more. Seems already many buildings have disappeared from the riverfront though.
I changed the location my of my blog to what I thought would be a more dependable service, TypePad. But I’m still experiencing problems with the page loading today. I know they’ve been moving servers around on the west coast, but it’s so frustrating when running a news blog and I need to post things right away.
