Old Tepperman's

This one is for John, who earlier in the week reminded me of these photos. This building was originally home to Tepperman’s Furniture Store. It was clad in corrugated metal, and spent many years as a CAW hall. The new owners mercifully removed the corrugated metal, and prior to covering it in stucco, allowed it to briefly grace Ottawa Street with its glass block windows and glazed buff…

Old Service Station

We might as well make this stuff that’s gone week 🙂 Although it’s hard to see in the photo, this old service station at Seminole & Drouillard until recently still retained its original enamaled steel panels. These were very popular in the 1930’s…
