East Windsor Postcards

These cards come to us today from regular reader Vic. These are some great cards, they are new to me as I hadn’t seen either of them before.

This postcard shows the s.e. corner of Ontario & Lawrence Road in what was then Ford.

Built in 1922, this house was designated by the City in 2000.

Here’s the house today. A good write up on the house ran in the Walkerville Times -> http://www.walkervilletimes.com/36/908-dawson-904-lawrence.html

The second card shows the streetcar on Wyandotte Street (what was then called Ottawa Street) at the intersection with Pilette Road.

Amazingly when compared to the “modern” view, the scene is still recognisable.

Personally I think the corner building looked better before its “renovation”. 😉

Hope everyone had a good weekend.
